GROMMETS

grommets.jpg (8388 bytes)

Our grommets are designed for simplicity of insertion, while protecting the wires or hoses that pass through them from sharp edges in wall openings. We have many standard sizes of grommets in stock, or we can provide parts especially manufactured to your specifications in short turn around time, at a minimal set up cost.

                  Multiple Grommets and Grommet Plates

For applications requiring the passage of several wires or cables through the same wall, we can design and mould multiple hole grommets. These multiple grommets can be designed to be either snapped or bolted in place. In cases where the area of the grommet is large relative to it’s thickness, a steel plate can be molded within the polyurethane to provide rigidity.

  HOSE CLAMPS hose_clamps.jpg (8351 bytes)

hose-clamps101.jpg (9147 bytes)

hose-clamps102.jpg (7369 bytes)

grommets-multi102.jpg (11133 bytes)

We manufacture a range of clamps used to locate and secure hoses, cables, tubes, and wires. They can be designed to permanently fix in place, or to allow quick insertion and removal, while holding them securely in place during use. To prevent the clamp from deforming during installation, steel bolt lines are molded into the part.

Polyurethane sheathed U-clamps are commonly used to secure pipes, canisters, or any other round or square profiles, while reducing noise, vibration and providing abrasion resistance. Because of the relatively low tooling costs involved in polyurethane molding, and a variety of formulations available, these enclosures are an economical alternative to injection molded parts.

housings101.jpg (10018 bytes)

Because of the low tooling cost of polyurethane, and a variety of formulations which can be used, polyurethane housings are becoming more common in the industry.

Electronic enclosures, protective shells and mechanical structures are a few of the applications that can be satisfied with polyurethane casting.

Steel inserts, threaded parts, and gaskets are some of the parts that can be molded into our housing assemblies.

CASTERS AND ROLLERS_ rollers.jpg (7610 bytes)

rollers101.jpg (8045 bytes)

rollers102.jpg (8038 bytes)

State Industries Ltd. has had extensive experience in manufacturing various industrial wheels and rollers.

Some of the factors that make polyurethane an ideal choice for these applications include; its outstanding resistance to abrasion, cutting and tearing, high resilience resulting in low heat build up, and the high tear strength of the bond to metallic shafts and hubs.

The hardness of the polyurethane can be specified according to the function of the part: high hardness for low rolling resistance and heavy loads, or softer formulations where friction is required, such as drivers.

We also have the capabilities to machine or grind the finished parts to exact specifications, where required.

  SHOCK ABSORBERS shockabs.jpg (7287 bytes)

shocks101.jpg (6856 bytes)

We manufacture a variety of custom designed shock absorbers and bumpers.

The right formulation (hardness) can be provided, according to the function of the part. Where required, metallic inserts, such as mounting brackets or bolt hole liners, can be integrated within the urethane part.

We currently manufacture shock absorbers for the automotive, mining, agricultural and general industrial applications.

CAST SILICONE for high temperature applications

siliconecast.jpg (7160 bytes)

silicone-cast101.jpg (6741 bytes) For high temperature applications, where polyurethane will not withstand the high temperatures, cast silicone can be effective. For high temperature applications, where elastomeric properties are essential, a cast silicone part can be the logical choice. Silicone maintains it’s characteristics in temperatures of up to 400F .

A variety of hardneses are available for gaskets, seals, bumpers, etc.

wheels102.jpg (13583 bytes)

State Industries Ltd. has developed a proprietory spin casting process used to produce high performance in-line skate wheels.

We manufacture a full line of performance, hockey and racing wheels with formulations for maximum wear resistance, rebound and resilience.

Our automated wheel line is geared toward a high production of wheels. This automated process is flexible enough to support production of up to 5,000 wheels per day as well as economical enough to produce lower batch quantities of specialty wheels (skate boards, roller blades, etc.)

  BAR STOCK & SHEETS barstock.jpg (7915 bytes)

barstock101.jpg (7820 bytes) We can provide any size of bar stock material for further machining from a variety of formulations.

Because of the superb performance in high abrasion applications, polyurethane sheets are used as sheet liners, press liners or table top covers.

We stock, and are set up to mould a variety of bar stock materials. All standard geometric, including bar, solid round, tube, pads and sheets can be cast in our facilities. All of these shapes can be produced from any of the various formulations we mould.

Depending on the hardness chosen, such products can be used for a wide range of applications including shock protection, abrasion resistant liners, farming operations, or machined to any desired shape.
