Polyurethane's
excellent wear characteristics, as well as its resistance to chemical
attack and corrosion, have rendered it an asset to the agricultural
manufacturing sector. Examples of its uses in this field include: seed
meters, augers, seed deflectors, elbows, bumpers, packer wheels and
manifolds.
Because of our relatively low tooling costs, polyurethane is an ideal material for molding agricultural products, with typical production runs between 500 - 10,000 pieces per year. At State Industries Ltd., we also have experience with conductive polymers which prevent the build up of static electricity in specific areas, while maintaining a high level of abrasion resistance.

Many
of our products have been designed to solve electrical isolation problems.
Polyurethanes are very useful in this respect as they typically have
excellent insulating properties.
We have extensive experience in manufacturing parts for electric vehicles. Through our affiliation with a high voltage lab, we can have a variety of electrical tests performed, and provide respective documentation with any shipment when necessary. |

Due
to its versatility and wide range of engineering properties, urethane has
been used to solve many problems encountered in this industry.
A few of these problems include vibration isolation, shock absorption, electrical isolation, abrasion resistance, and power transmission.
Our ability to bond urethane to metalic pieces has further expanded the range of problems that can be solved in this field.
Due to the relatively limited quantities of parts used in this industry (usually 500 to 10,000 pieces), polyurethane’s low tooling cost makes it a very attractive alternative. Quite often, urethane products are developed which solve two or more of those problems at once. . |
|
| Our products can be cast from urethane stiff enough to provide support to
other members, or with enough flexibility to allow relative motion between two adjacent
components

At
State Industries Ltd, we have demonstrated the technical ability to
produce components which meet the exacting specifications and high quality
expectations of the aerospace and military industries.
Missile liners, digital camera housings for under water applications, and components for combat vehicles are a few of the parts we manufacture for the military industry.

In
the harsh mining environment, a lot of demands are placed upon material.
Polyurethane has proven over and over again to be tough enough to meet those demands. Excellent abrasion resistance, as well as high impermeability to oil and other chemicals account for it's widespread application. Economical advantages of replacing other rubbers and metals with polyurethane are realized through drastically reduced maintenance costs. One example is State Industries patented polyurethane lined slurry valves and elbows, for which documentation proves they outlast standard steel components by a factor of fifty. Other specialty products that we manufacture for the mining industry include: chute liners, muck deflectors, cable guides, rock drill mufflers, hose protectors and wrappings and high impact resistant headlight encasements.

State
Industries Ltd. has developed a proprietory spin casting process used to
produce high performance in-line skate wheels.
We manufacture a full line of performance, hockey and racing wheels with formulations for maximum wear resistance, rebound and resilience. Our automated wheel line is geared toward a high production of wheels. This automated process is flexible enough to support production of up to 5,000 wheels per day as well as economical enough to produce lower batch quantities of specialty wheels (skate boards, roller blades, etc.)

During
the development of a new plastic part, the risk of investing in expensive
injection molding tooling may be too great to take until a final design is
realized.
We can offer an economical prototype development option since our manufacturing process involves considerably lower set up charges, due to our low pressure casting techniques. Also, we are able to provide urethane formulations with hardnesses approaching or equal to those of thermoplastics for more authentic prototypes.
Through our access to rapid prototyping methods, such as SLA, SLS or 3D printing we can offer our customers fast and economical turn around time on prototype tooling.
